The Last Breakfast Club of 2008!

Due to weather conditions we had to do the last Breakfast Club over 2 days. We did our Cuttlebug designs and some paper piecing and chalk popping. All in all we have had a wonderful year of Breakfast Club and I look forward to 2009 and perhaps adding some new people. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who attended and hope you will be back in the New Year.

Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to all who have followed
this blog.

These are some of my personal cards that I sent out as well as doing them in our Stamp-A-Stack. Everyone who made them really seemed to like them and I hope you do too! I think I am finally finished with Christmas Cards this year.

HOT DIGGITY!

On Saturday evening I am meeting with a new group of stampers. They have never used TAC before and I really want to impress them so I asked what their favorite set in the catalogue is and they told me Diggity Dogs (T2351.) I have really agonized over this one. I really wanted to WOW them and I hope this does it. The Dog House, Food and Blurbs were all done on the Cricut. The "wood" for the doghouse was done on the Cuttlebug and of course I added the appropriate amount of Stickles.

What do you think?

5th CHRISTMAS STAMP-A-STACK

On Friday Evening we completed our 5th and I think final Stamp-A-Stack for the Season.
These cards are some of my favorites. The first is a "step card" using our Holly Flourishes T-2938 and the scalloped punches along with a Martha Stewart Punch. We have made this card before but it makes a nice Christmas Card. The Perky Penquin, T2666, is again one of my favorite sets. He is in a snow globe that I cut from the Cricut. The blue background has been run through the Cuttlebug. The next card is done with Ornamental Snowflakes, T2796, and a technique that my friend Dawnmarie taught at our crop. It is done with re-inkers and Cut and Dry Foam and Perfect Pearls, D1600. I know you can't see the shimmer but it is really awesome. The last card is done on our Scarlet Paper, V237, using All things Nature, T907. The bird is colored with watercolor pencils and blended. I cut the mat for the bird on the Cricut.
Everyone seemed to love these cards, I hope you do too!

THIS MORNINGS BREAKFAST CLUB!

These are the cards we did at this mornings Breakfast Club. Not as many as usual but everyones' cards were amazing! The 3 Christmas Cards were cut on the Cricut Expression and then lined with shiny paper and glitter paper. We used Whimiscal Greetings
R2031 for the Angel Card and Holly Swirls, T2925 for the Pointsettia and Candle Cards.
The Rose is from our retired collection but still one of my favorites and Curls & Swirls, T2773. This card is a perfect Birthday Card or a wonderful Sympathy Card. The last card was just designed from playing on my new Expression. I love the border daisies and then just cut individual ones. It is a good fall birthday card. Also just got the new EK Success corner punch so I just had to use it. As you look at all of these cards you will see plenty of Stickles. The only one that doesn't have them is the Rose Card. Hope you enjoy them.
Happy stamping!

OUR "CROP FOR A CAUSE" AT SOUTHWEST COMMUNITY SERVICES!

On Saturday Nov. 1st Meri McLaughlin, Dawnmarie Davis and I
hosted a "crop" for Southwest Community Services. 45 of us got together to "crop," laugh, play games and have contests. There were Demos on products and techniques. We were joined by many Angels and good friends. Our resident comedian, Dawnmarie, had a microphone, YIKES! No one was safe until our cashier, my husband Nick got the duck tape. We had a "sale" on those must haves that we all have and never use. We had a "silent auction" with many outstanding donations. The food was prepared by the ladies of Southwest and was WONDERFUL!! We also had a massage therapist who made us feel like a million. Our contests were for the best name tag, the best card and the best layout. Winner of the best card Tammi Brockman, Best name tag, our own Sheryl Bechard and best layout, Phyllis Laba. We are all exhausted today but feel like we have really accomplished something for such a wonderful cause. We will be hosting another one in a few months so stay tuned, we would love to have you join us!

THIS MORNINGS BREAKFAST CLUB!

We had another "fun filled" breakfast club this morning. I took the challenge on Splitcoast last week and did the "stair step card." It really is a fun card to make. The second card is done with Simply Divine and DCWV shades of Robins Egg. Love those colors. The next card is also a fast simple card. It is
punched with any kind of edge punch on a 2 3/4 inch square. Thread ribbon thru the openings and glue to the back of the layered card. The last two cards we did were cards we did at Rita Keggs'Gathering. The dial card was a big hit BUT the pop-up, not so much.
Happy stamping everyone!

These are the cards we have been

MY NEWEST FAVORITE!

The second card is one of the Breakfast Cards from this past
Monday. It took me three tries to
get what I wanted so you see three
different sizes. One of them is open.
They actually open and close like a box. Love it!

The card with the purple flower is for my Aunt who will be 91 tomorrow!

Rubberstampandscrapbook Expo!

Just want to say thanks to all of you who came to see us at the Rubberstampandscrapbook Expo this past week-end. We missed seeing a lot of our "Southside" friends but were happy to see those of you who came. We have been told that the promoter is coming back to Tinley Park. Thanks to those of you who went and told him that TP was a better place to be. When he made his public announcement on Sunday you could hear the cheers!
All in all it was a good show for us although he certainly didn't bring in the numbers he was expecting. Will keep you all posted on what he is going to do.
A quick reminder that we are doing "Double Dips" so it is a good time to get those extras you have wanted. Also the Fall Supplement is exciting a lot of people. Let me know if I can help with anything you want.
Happy Stamping everyone!

FALL SUPPLEMENT AND DOUBLE DIP!

Hi Everyone!

Just want to give you a quick heads up about some exciting times at TAC! First of all the Fall Supplement is here. I have placed my order so you will all get to see one but if you can't wait go to www.theangelcompany.net and look under promotions. Also starting today we will have "Double Dip." Some of you remember this as "Stamp Fest" or "Jubille" or "Celebration." It is still the same. All your rewards double. This is a great time to host a workshop or just come as a guest. If you spend $30.00 you get double GWP's. Hostesses get so much more bang for your buck.

Hope to hear from you!

Pat

October Birthdays!

I have been on a frenzy making cards lately. I have a Daughter-in-Law and a GrandDaughter who have birthdays one day apart.

In both cards I used Mimi paper and the Cuttlebug folder, Pumpkin Harvest. I love it!!!! On the first card I left it without coloring but on the second card I used our Jewel Tone Chalk Kit. The stamp set used is TA2978, Just For You!

Thanksgiving Cards!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets, Give Thanks, T1139.
I love to color and this is a great set to color. I used my Copic
Markers which gives you so much depth of color. The paper collection is Hemmingway and of course I used a variety of punches. Another one of my favorite things to use.
